Orange Biomed Joins Breakthrough T1D Walk for National Diabetes Awareness Month
Orange Biomed will join the 2026 Breakthrough T1D Walk – Triangle on Nov. 8 in Raleigh, N.C., during National Diabetes Awareness Month.
Every step brings us closer to the next breakthrough, and we're glad to take those steps together.”
RALEIGH, NC, UNITED STATES, November 3, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Orange Biomed, a diabetes technology company, today announced that it will take part in the 2026 Breakthrough T1D Walk – Triangle on Sunday, Nov. 8. Team Orange Biomed, led by co-founder Luke Jo and joined by family members, will walk in Raleigh alongside people living with type 1 diabetes (T1D), their families and friends, and supporters.— Yeaseul Park, CEO of Orange Biomed
Formerly known as the JDRF One Walk, the Breakthrough T1D Walk is the largest type 1 diabetes walk, according to Breakthrough T1D, with more than 120 Walks across the country bringing communities together to raise funds and awareness for the 1.6 million Americans living with T1D.
The Walk takes place during National Diabetes Awareness Month, observed each November in the United States, and ahead of World Diabetes Day on Nov. 14. For Orange Biomed, joining the Walk is a natural extension of its M.A.P. Your Health (Monitor, Adapt, Prevent) initiative, which encourages health awareness, education and community engagement around chronic disease, with "Prevent" focused on reducing the risk of long-term complications.
The Walk also builds on the company's work with the T1D community across North Carolina, from the High Country to the Triangle. In September, Orange Biomed joined families at The Diabetes Family Connection's Camp to Community High Country in Valle Crucis, N.C., which brings together children living with T1D and their families.
"National Diabetes Awareness Month is a time for the whole diabetes community to come together, and we wanted to be part of it by walking alongside people who live with type 1 diabetes every day," said Yeaseul Park, CEO of Orange Biomed. "Our team is excited for Sunday. It's a chance to have fun, meet families and advocates, and listen to what matters most to them. Every step brings us closer to the next breakthrough, and we're glad to take those steps together."
Orange Biomed invites the public to support Team Orange Biomed and take a step forward with the T1D community. Funds raised support Breakthrough T1D's work in type 1 diabetes research and care. To learn more or make a donation, visit https://map.orangebiomed.com/walk/.
